Welcome my friends. After the tragic death of my son Tariq in January 1995, my life changed forever. At first for the worse, as the initial pain felt like a nuclear bomb went off in my heart. However, over time, the changes have been towards the good, and they have been in the name of forgiveness, peace, understanding and ultimately fulfillment. This “good” is what my website is all about. Tariq’s gift was to connect me with my heart and soul. My daughter Tasreen’s ongoing gift is to keep that connection alive.

Gifts come in various forms. There have been gifts in finding a new life purpose after the murder of my son - first by establishing the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (http://www.tkf.org), then by reaching out in forgiveness to Tony Hicks, the murderer of my son, and Ples Felix, Tony's grandfather. Today, Ples and I work together in relaying TKF's vision, and in the future, Tony will join us in our mission - taking the power of forgiveness to our communities and out into our world.
